Peer Review Process

All manuscripts shall undergo a blind and independent review process. As such, authors are requested to submit a separate cover sheet containing the article title, author's name, and institutional affiliation. Every effort should be made to remove any clue as to the author's identity. After notification from the Editor(s) acknowledging receipt of the manuscript, the manuscript will then directly be forwarded to associate editor(s) and peer reviewer(s). The Editor will ensure that each cycle of the review process takes no more than five (5) months.

DISCLOSURE OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST

Iwag Journal Editorial Board ensures transparency in the publication process by requiring authors, editors, and peer reviewers to disclose possible conflicts of interests. Authors should have to disclose financial and relational factors that might affect the review process. Peer reviewers should turn down invites to review manuscripts if they see conflicting interests that might influence their review on the manuscript submitted. Furthermore, peer reviewers should not use information or details from the manuscript they review for their own interest. As such, reviewers should keep information or details of reviewed manuscripts strictly confidential. As much as possible, reviewer(s) and author(s) relationship must be governed with widely-acceptable level of professionalism (or uphold to honest, healthy, and constructive mentor-mentee relationship.)

In any circumstances of possible conflicts of interest, the Editorial Board led by the Editor-in-Chief should take appropriate actions and make relevant decisions putting high premium on transparency in the publication process.

Open Access Policy

Governed by the principle of democratization of or open access to knowledge, papers accepted for publication will be made available freely to the public in both online and print copies for knowledge dissemination. The Iwag Journal, however, calls on to all readers to use published articles for academic and research purposes only.
